Good morning wonderful People, This week you will continue your work with assignment 2 of your project. Last week you should have explained why art is important during a crisis. This week you will continue this work by finding evidence that art has helped our communities during times of crisis. This week you and your group will find a time in history where art was used to respond to social and or political crisis. Think of times when we have been challenged for example, The September 11 attacks, Katrina, 1992 uprisings, and tell me how art has been used to respond to these moments in time. You will not be writing yet, this week you will: Pick a time in history to focus on Get at least 5 sources to help you understand how art responded to this crisis. (sources can be articles, songs, painting, poems or photographs) You will need to fill out the attached Evaluating Articles page (only one per group) that is attached. There is also a rubric called C.R.A.P. Test for looking at your sources. Look at this first and find your sources. You will be graded on this rubric and your completion of the Evaluating DUE Saturday MAY 16th Good morning wonderful People, Today we start working on our Artistic Response project. During this project you will create an original work of art and find a way to broadcast it to the world. You are all great artist and we can’t wait to see how your art will uplift and empower our communities. Before we start your creation of art, we have to answer the questions “Why art is important during crisis?” and “How does entertainment respond to and reflect social and political crises?” This week we will answer these questions but look more closely on “Why art is important during the covid-19 pandemic?” This question will be answered in one TIEA paragraph. You will need to site at least two sources in your paragraph. To help you out a bit I will give you some focus questions:
